What are you doing right now??

Sitting in the waiting room of the back pain doctor.
Sitting makes the pain worse.

Then I’ll have to walk about ten miles of halls to the room.
Walking makes the pain worse too.

All after driving here.
Driving makes the pain worse.
I'm +1 day on my back surgery. I did very well through the night, and even now there is very little pain. Just a mild ache. But the nerve block I was given could still be in effect. And I am keeping up with the meds I have been given. The home health care nurse will be here in an hour to check up on the incision, clean it and re-dress it. I have to wear a back brace and those leg squeezer things on my legs to help prevent blood clots. I'm not sure how long I have to wear all that. My guess is that it will be close to a month before I hit the range again.

i know back pain all too well....

yes, even breathing can be painful too.

never any real comfortable way to stay put and relax, and nearly no amount of drugs, will really kill the pain for long.

you will get relief soon, if you have some sort of surgery.

those "leg squeezing wraps" i could remove to use the bathroom.....i was in the hospital for 5 days after my operation(s), back in early 2000, and again in 2014, 2015, 2017.........when i was discharged each time, those squeeze wraps did not go home with me.

yeah, i had to wear a back brace each time as well, first operation was for 6 months.....

all the others, maybe about 3 months each time.

i had no home care nurse......my wife and daughters were my nurses.

I went to range this morning and got the holosun sighted in on the XD mod 3. All worked as advertised but I just don't see the advantage of the optic for me. Maybe it will take some time to get used to it but as it stands now I would not purchase another one. Just my 2 cents.

You have to change your presentation technique and bring the gun up to eye level, rather than bringing your head down in line with the optic. Then focus on the target, not on the front sight, which flies in the face of everything we have been taught for years. Focus on the target and overlay the dot on the target. At close range you don't even need the dot, just get the target in the window. It comes with practice. I have found that I am faster with the red dot, but more precise with the irons. Keep working at it, it will fall into place.

About a 4 1/2" incision above my butt crack (don't some of you pervs get excited!). It's just to the right side of the spine. If this surgery doesn't give me enough relief, then I get the same surgery done on the left side of the spine. And the home health care nurse was an oldy bones (60s). I'm 60. Maybe tomorrow's nurse will be in her early 30s with big hooters. One can always hope!

Can't you order a nurse on online? With new underwear?

You have to take it easy on recovery.
Young hot nurse will cause mid section push ups while your on your stomach, and you can’t go hurting your back more 😉
