What are you doing right now??

i had just chopped up ice on my backyard walkway.....every stinking time we get snow, then it melts, it overflows the downspouts, then ices over...one time years ago, there must have been 4 inches of ice my boys and me had to chop thru....

its a small area, about maybe 4 feet long, by 2.5 feet wide, but the delivery people do not bring us our packages, and i cannot blame them......it is hard for me to keep up with this nonsense, which is why i was thinking a long handled flame thrower, in another thread.

so again this time (as in the past) i laid down a good amount of rock salt....today too, the temps hit 40 degree's after we had 2-3 inches of snow last night.

I'm in Utah. Never seen a winter like this in my life. No measurable snow in my yard for over 12 months, and no measurable rain since October 2025. Let's just say we're in a bit of trouble for water this year.

Drinking coffee and getting my act together to return to the hospital and be with my mother, she had a heart attack and is scheduled to have surgery sometime today. She is a strong 88 year old woman, a 16 year breast cancer survivor, she is stable, not in any pain and you couldn't tell there's a problem just by looking at her.

UPDATE: The procedure was a complete success. The right coronary artery was blocked 100%, and it has been reopened with a stint. Dr. Patel said because she is so active and healthy her body had already created a bypass, and that's why all of her cardiogram tests came back negative. She was awake and watching the procedure on the same screen the Dr. was viewing and got up off the operating table on her own, she is spending one more night in the hospital for rest & observation ... I'll bring her home tomorrow so she can change the oil & filter in my trucks and rotate the tires

Not too long ago wrote my small town had been lucky to not have protesters on our streets. Well today that has changed 40-50 high schoolers with teachers were protesting ICE. This happened about an hour ago during school hours police were monitoring not letting them block traffic. Sure hope this crap doesn't get out of hand.

been happening all across the states, thanks to social media....

to me, if they cannot vote, they have no right to protest what the government does...

if the school for instance, removed the vending machines, then go to a protest against that school
