What are you doing right now??

Been a very long time ago in Nebraska when my grandpa was going to take me to town. Back then no sirens or phone alerts as the phone hadn't rang in a couple days. We went out to the pickup and he turned the key , then tried again but nothing. He grabbed me and we head towards the basement just as we got there Grandma came down with some sandwiches, hard boiled eggs and a couple of big thermos bottles. Things began to shake and the noise was intense. Then it got so quiet like I had never heard B4. Then the rattle of things started again and the faded away next day we headed over to the neighbors but grampa stopped to show me something. The wood fence is was down and pieces missing but some fence posts were still up. He took me to a post and a piece of straw was sticking out both sides of the post. We took it back to the house a picture could be taken. I took pictures back and to school for show and tell. I have been in 3 hurricanes, 2 were at see.

First level has been breached.

Drinking Several cold beers, as a residential as well as commercial materials salesman it has been a tuff week. I mainly deal with large multi family housing jobs. 500 unit plus apartment complexes etc. New construction as well as rehab. Hard to know how to bid material with the "Tarrif" pissing contest that is going on. When you ask vendor how long price is protected, they say "until we end this call". I trust DJT but things are a little stressed right now.

Woke up to 15 degrees and sunshine this morning. Supposed to get to the low 40s today, then back down to the teens tonight. March is supposed to be the weird month, but hey. Hoping you guys in the rain soaked south get some relief very soon.

I was hoping to stay home today but we are going into Fargo. Since my stepdad passed some five years ago and my mom left Texas and moved to Canada, I have been keeping some military things that my sister sent me when she went through the house. One of those things is a large shadow box of his military medals and a flag he received when he retired. I was finally able to find his nephew who lives in Allentown, PA, and I know my stepdad would want him to have it, so we're carting it into town and shipping it out UPS. I already sent a smaller box out and they delivered it in three days.

After that, maybe I can convince the husband to stop at the range and put some lead downrange (I doubt it though because when I brought that up last night, he immediately told me he was on a mission. Whatever..). We'll end up at Menard's. Range will be busy anyway..

dark, dreary, dank day right now...ran a few early morning errands,

then i vacuumed, washed the shelving in the pantry cupboards, with Pine Sol, damned that smell is all over the house now.

wife washed nearly all the bowls, dishes and glasses.

waiting for things to dry, and restack the shelves

joy, merriment, and happy springtime cleaning greetings to all.
