Prepped the Easter ham we're having for lunch ( dusted with black pepper, then slathered with pureed minced garlic), then wrapped in foil and put in the oven.
I just finished shucking 7 ears of corn, that are getting "cooler" cooked.
And have sliced potatoes soaking, later to be fried with peppers and onions.

About ready to cook up some bacon and eggs. Laundry day and then probably back outside to till up the garden. It's supposed to get into the 60s today, but the wind is supposed to gust up to 30mph and we are under a special weather statement (low humidity and dry conditions) until at least 3PM. Then an early Easter dinner because we both have to get up stupid early tomorrow morning..

After church the kids and grandkids came over for Easter supper. We hid eggs in the house because of the rain but the grandkids had fun hunting. Then we had our "Resurrection eggs" celebration.

The grandkids really enjoyed the symbolism, taking turns reading about the Crucifixion and Resurrection events. They just left. Now I need a nap. It was a great day. He is risen!
