What are you doing right now??

well, i partly finished about 1 pm....i still have way too much more to do, from spot painting, some more caulking, and the windows themselves....

i also have to buy some more "mini paint rollers" for those tight spaces.

and i have to buy a new rubber floor mat, maybe Lowes will have another one i bought years ago.

so here is how today went..

took down all the towel rods, clothes hook, toilet paper roll thingy........oh but wait, its gets juicy

them sumsofbeeches are made in China......which means...METRIC allen screws...GOD @&#^&#%@&@..>!!!!!!

but i had a pre-plan...!! oh yes....i took up BOTH the standard set AND metric set.....

oh, but i am not done......the damned door hook and tooth brush holder had a tiny screw..@#^#*@^$#...>!!!!

thank god in my 'puter building tool kit...I HAD 1 mini screw driver....!!!!!!!

so, i was painting, painting, and only doing the borders, with the brush, so i could use a paint roller later to go faster.

i was laying on the floor, sprawled out spread eagle almost.....i was under the sink, getting around the pipes..

my arm tired, so i dropped the brush......

there i laid, looking up at the ceiling and recall what @Bassbob said many weeks ago as he was building his deck

something like....."things were easier when i was younger"...???? remember Bob..???? i do....

i knew things WERE ALWAYS easier when i was younger.

so there i lay like a slug, wife comes to check on me, and panics and says..."OMG you fell down, i'll call 911"

i mustered up enough to say....."nope, i didn't fall, i am ok"

"well what are you doing on the floor"?

i said..."uh. looking up at the ceiling right now"...???

oh well......friday (tomorrow) i hope to have the job completed......

i don't like laying on the floor, that ceiling was calling me to repaint it....

BULLSHITE.....!!!!!!

well, got up my usual times of midnight, 2 AM, 3 AM, and then finally at 4:30 AM....

no usual manly bathroom trips, i just wake up many times....no sleep apnea either

had breakfast, and was rather annoyed at the way the bathroom looks all out of whack.

i had to go to the kitchen, where a portable table is set up with the things normally kept on the bathroom shelf

another in the reason to hate painting.....

anyways, i have to go about 6 AM to Lowes and buy some more "mini" paint rollers, and hopefully a rubber mat.

of course now, we need a new color coordinated waste basket, that's for walmart, maybe saturday...Bob Ross the famous painter on PBS had it all wrong......"Happy Little Painting"...he used to say..

OldMe's famous saying is..."screw you, this is work dammit, go suck on a tail pipe"

raining out right now, but its supposed to end soon, the get warmer by noontime, but i should do fine with the "touch ups" of both colors...it always happens, miss a spot here or there.

but the bulk is done, i still have to paint the window sashes.

"the Joy of painting" was ...Bob Ross's TV show.....

christ, he still lives on in reruns......"happy little trees, happy little clouds, happy little old people, laying on the floor"

well....massive change in plans.

as i came home from Lowes, it was lighter out, and as i walked by my wife's car, i could plainly see the left rear wheel was slanted.

so in a little bit, off to the garage, its only about a 1/2 mile from the house.

this needs to be addressed ASAP.

the above was earlier, i forgot to send it, as i had to get on the phone to the repair shop

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

so we dropped off the car, they will look at it, i suspect the left rear wheel bearing, but who knows.

when we got back home, i got back into my bathroom painting..

i touched up several spots, and painted the window sashes.

seems to be all ready to be left alone to dry for at least another 24 hours

i found a nice rubber mat at Lowes, and now i have to make up a template, cuz i have to cut it into angles for a proper fit.

thing is, i really am in "some pain" with my knees and back, all those contorted positions to get the job done.

Old Me I get tired listening to your chores. You da man for doing all of those things. I try to avoid many/most of those tasks if I can help it.
I've narrowed my Kentucky Derby picks down after two of mine were scratched. Maybe this year will be a lucky year. One year we needed a new TV and won $1300. We don't need one now despite prices coming way down, but I can always think of some way to spend it.

thing is, if i avoid doing things around the house, my tenants can stop paying rent, and at least here, i'd have to take them to court......and the court here sides with the renters, 8 out of 10 times.

also, if i try to avoid doing things here, my sons will have to push aside things at thier houses.

listing my chores or daily "to do things", is like blogging, some read it, and thumbs up or a laughing face...

some don't like it

to each his/her own
