Just heard from my best friend in Manitoba. I have a very good friend who is an RCMP constable. He is posted at FlinFlon Manitoba. His detachment has been evacuated along with the town. He and his family are safe from the fires for now.
The military has been deployed to Manitoba and Saskatchewan to help with evacuation efforts.
I suppose it was only a matter of time…

About seven years ago my Mrs had shingles in her mouth was very painful. Since then we both got 2 shot series of shingles vaccine. Hopefully meds can clear it up for you.

Well, that's a bummer. I'm hoping your docotor has some good anti-virals for you to ease the symptoms and perhaps something to ease the pain. Prayers for you, all the best. I hope you guys catch a break soon.
Mrs. BassCliff and I had the Shingrix vaccine because we both had chicken pox as kids. I know the virus is dormant inside me. (Kinda creepy if you think about it.) While it's painful and inconvenient, I know it's rarely life threatening. But my friends and family who've had it all tell me to avoid it if possible.
I thought it unique that my doctor told me it's no big deal to skip covid vaccines but he strongly encouraged shingles and pnumococcal pneumonia vaccines, especialy for folks my age.

Sorry to hear this, hopefully your doctor can do something you, those can be rough, hang in there!
