Makes me appreciate my private outdoor ranges. I don't think I would ever shoot an AR at an indoor range. Or any rifle. Or shotgun. Well, or any handgun either. At the range with Simon.
Guy next to us is running a 7” barrel 5.56 pistol unsupressed rapid fire. In a 25yrd bay After every mag dump he yells .. “yee Hah “.
Soooo F’ing loud and concussive blast, I had to step behind the rso glass to just chill for a second.
F’ing no regard for fellow shooters.![]()

There are a couple at my indoor range that shoot with less than pleasant brakes. Guy was sighting in 6.5 with a less than pleasant brake recently and I similarly had to step back from line. Was blowing dust/stuff on floor. At the range with Simon.

I am grateful for the indoor range at the club I belong to due to our weather. That said, our club has a specific rifle range (indoor) for when the winds and weather are bad. I only shoot my long guns outdoors, on private land (not mine, but I wish).Makes me appreciate my private outdoor ranges. I don't think I would ever shoot an AR at an indoor range. Or any rifle. I'm thankful that my local gun club is just the other side of town, and rain or shine we have overhead cover. But it's still outdoors and I rather prefer not going when it's raining. Targets are out in the open and on the rifle range that means a long walk in the rain to put up targets and a long walk back. We have some 100-yard lanes, a couple 200- and 300-yard lanes, and a couple lanes that go out to 400-800 yards...I am grateful for the indoor range at the club I belong to due to our weather.
