I woke up feeling like death...on a day off...no fair! 😒 Seems a few coworkers were very generous in sharing their germs with me, so my sinuses feel like they've expanded to the size of Texas and my skull is cracking. However, I was bound and determined to make it to the range today, as it was closed last weekend for the gun show. I took the VP9A1 and the CC9. I worked with the VP9A1 K first, to warm up I suppose.
First mag went like this..

At 10 yards, no too bad. Pushed it out to 15 yards..

Dumped the others at 15, I do know the gun is more accurate than I..😉.

So then it's the CC9. It's a good feeling little gun, but the trigger feels weird. It's like it has two walls...I don't know. Didn't like the first round I tried to fire, but after that it was okay. I'm going to have to work with it...

By this time my head felt like it weighed a ton, so I didn't reload. Just wanted to go home and medicate.
That was my brief afternoon range visit. It was worth the commute..

Maggie woke me up because she needed to do her business outside. It has been raining off and on all night. Grass really needed this. Maggie had her breakfast and I made a cup of coffee for myself. There will be no walks today if it doesn't dry out. Will probably turn tv on and fall asleep again.

well, its ground hog day, again.......same ole, crap as any other day...

got up, had breakfast, waiting for 6:30 to run out for the errands...

life can also be like a 33 RPM record player, where the control arm resets itself to the beginning of the album

either that or

the clock radio wakes us up, to the same music, same weather, same across the hall fat guy, and no hot water.

life is just another ground hog day......

just got back from shopping, or should i say my worldly expedition..??

my local wally-world emporium is moving products all over the place.

i found what i needed, after the dog sled stopped for a crap in the toilet paper isle.

when i got all that i needed, i stuck a US flag in the center isle, and claimed that isle as my very own.

I've been up since 6:30 which is weird for me on a day off. But seeing how I was sleeping by 7:30 last night...yeah, the body can only handle so much rest without rigor mortis setting in. I feel a whole lot better today...so far. The crud is still there in my head but it isn't so intense.

Today I have a lot of canning to do, so I better not lollygag here too long. Gotta set up the system, and my kitchen was (unfortunately) built for aesthetics and not the best function, so I improvise, adapt, and overcome....

Hi,

Just found out one of my favorite old men on the planet died. The owner of my gun club Bill. He was 82, just about 6 months older than my mother. As far as I know he wasn't sick last time I saw him a week ago.

Big time drag.

Let me express my condolences too. Life sometimes moves and changes quickly. I'm looking forward to eternity. Peace to all who knew Bill.

Blessings,

Cliff

Hi,

...yeah, the body can only handle so much rest without rigor mortis setting in. I feel a whole lot better today...so far.

Glad you're feeling better. I just got back from the doctor, complaining about stiffness, thinking I had arthritis. The doctor said, nope, I have early onset rigormortis. So I'm going to the range today to try and work out the kinks.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Just got back from my buddy's house, working on the new car. He's a MB guy so I dodged the big bullet with these cars that is having to take them to a Mercedes dealer to work on them. In fact that's why they have such crappy resale value and coincidentally how I got such a good deal on it. Anyway, the torque converter was "Shuddering" a little which is fairly common and can be a number of things. After ruling out tires and driveshafts we concluded it was a TC thing. I'll interject here to mention that getting fluid in this tranny is a drag and the dumbest shite I ever saw. Anyway, a couple tubes of the stop shudder stuff did the trick. A lot of people use it and say they never have another problem, but really I used it as a diagnostic tool. Before I spend $260 on fluid and a filter I wanted to make sure it was a fluid issue and not a TC issue. Replacing the torque converter is probably a $2000 job.

So I am happy. I'll drive it until my buddy has the time and I have the extra cash to do a fluid and filter change on the tranny. Now I can concentrate on getting some hardware installed for gun totin'.
