What are you doing right now??

My wife has severe Glaucoma recently lost vision in her left eye. We are very worried she may end up totally blind. She has emergency surgery in the morning to hopefully slow down losing sight in her right eye. My poor Baby is fighting cancer and now has to deal with the possibility of being blind. Her very tough journey is really testing my faith. hers remains strong.
Best of luck to your wife and yourself rcurtner. My prayers are with you both, try to stay strong and I hope everything works out well.

Hi,

Finished up a load bearing beam net door this morning, then I had to go up to the city and pick up a dining room set my mom bought and set it up for her and remove her old one, then back home and down the street to my daughters to install a slab door on one of the bedrooms. Then up to the diner with the wife for dinner, home, shower and a nice glass of iced tea while watching Pixie and Dixie.

Tomorrow it's more fun next door. This time it's crawling in the attic on my hands and knees ( hip roof that's sagging, primarily because the D bags that used to own the house removed load bearing walls, like the dumbasses they are) and installing a bunch of collar braces. Then I have to strategically remove a piece of drywall off the ceiling out by the exterior wall so I can get up there and fab up a load bearing pedestal across the joists to support the failed support in the middle of the front rafter tail section.

That's how I spend my vacations apparently.

I think Bob wears a red cape. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

YALL HAVE A GREAT WEEK

It's my day of the week to go visit my parents. Between 7 of the 9 kids, we each take a day each week to go visit them and check on their health and overall condition. I'll probably clean some toilets and do some laundry as well. Mom has stopped taking any kind of narcotic/opioid and is now taking the THC:CBD pills and sprays to manage pain and get good sleep. Will have to order some more gummies today. I tease her about being a reefer addict now.

My wife was in surgery for about 2-1/2 hours. Guess the surgery went well we weren't allowed to talk to the surgeon. She has a follow-up appointment at 8:15AM tomorrow where we will be given all the details. This kinda pisses me off but what else can we do, nothing? She has bandages on both eyes and is in no pain, yet.
