Today is the husband's birthday, and hopefully he only has to work half the day so he can get home before dark. Me...I have the usual stuff to keep me occupied. I have a pot luck dish to prepare for work...gonna do my Cowboy Beans. I've had pretty good luck with those.. 😉. I thought I had all the ingredients here but it seems I'm short a couple of cans of chili beans and some of those little wienies everybody loves, so I'll trip it to the grocery store in a bit. I will find something nice for his birthday dinner too. Then of course there's the laundry thing. That can be going while I clean my guns. Yep, I think I have enough to do to keep me out of trouble for a while. Happy Saturday y'all! 😎

Hi,

I've had a good day. After a morning workout, a couple cups of coffee before 150+ rounds at the range with most of my .45s, including my new Sig 1911-X Freedom. (Range report later.) Then I vacuumed the downstairs. Now Mrs. BassCliff and I are getting caught up on our Chicago shows on the NBC app. Blessings to all.

no morons in the isles, all the stock you can choose from, just many times, no cashier open, except for self serve.

seems to me, if the store opens at 6 AM, then dammit, have at least 1 register open at that time as well.

cuz for me, i go in, grab my stuff, and head to the check out.......i ain't got no time for fooling around.
 
Finishing up my second cup (I made a rhyme! 😁). It's the little things, right? Anywho, I'm about to get breakfast on, and then I have two Crockpots to get going with Cowboy Beans...one for us for dinner tonight, and the other for our potluck at work. Then it's laundry (two and a half week worth of the husband's), and gun cleaning that I didn't get done yesterday because we were enthusiastically celebrating the husband's birthday. Might poke around outside in the back 40 later for some fresh air and sunshine. They're saying we are probably going to have an abrupt slide into winter next week.
 
Yesterday tried out the wifes p6 Reserve. Great shooter. Comes out of the holster super fast with that slick finish. Better than my STAS? Very marginal. Yes I like the finish, the comp, the slide release but not enough to buy one for myself. Maybe I can talk wife out of it lol. Blessings!
 
Tractor supply run. Dog biscuits for Maggie--peanut butter flavor, the only ones she likes. Windshield washer fluid 0 degree $1.99 a gallon. Now home and football starting.
