Well, today is trip day. Not too keen on flying anymore, especially close to the holidays. Got lots to do today. Straighten up the place, make sure the plants are watered, yada yada. Have to leave by noon to get my ride in for new tires and an oil change, then to the airport. Not looking forward to the drama at my destination, but that's life. well...i ain't doing it now...

but earlier i went to the range...i took my RIA .22 mag 1911.

anyway, the RSO that is there on fridays, took his Henry .22 lever action rifle.

he let me shoot it.....

it was fun for sure, i do like the looks of a Henry rifle.

but it was (to me) a heavy rifle..i should have sat down and used a bench rest.

my hits were off to the top right.

he had installed a scope and did his best to aim it while at his house.

so he did say it would be "off" a bit.

i had a hard time holding that rifle, i just started to "shake" due to the weight.

but...it was "neato man"....

i LOVE that lever action


now.....i really....really.....really want one.

but, i ain't sure if i want a .22....or a .38....absolutely...NO higher caliber.....

i don't go hunting.......it would be for fun at the range only.


i dunno..........not for a while longer.

Hi,

Travel mercies for @belladonna, blessings of peace and strength as well.

I had a productive day, fixed a couple of small projects outside, then my daily workout, followed by vacuuming the downstairs and setting up the Christmas tree.

The granddaughters will be sleeping over this weekend so they can help decorate. Mrs. BassCliff and I just got back from our Friday fish fry. Now we'll have an eggnog with dessert while we stream a fictional narrative. (NOT a dirty movie.)

It's snowing lightly right now, and will be off and on for a week. The biggest day might be three inches, otherwise an inch or less. It's just enough to make me shovel and salt the driveway. Fun stuff.
