My dad is in a better place now. He passed yesterday morning. We feel such relief (and a little guilt), but it was so hard to watch him suffer at the end. He was refusing all meds and wouldn't take ANY liquids. So yesterday was a little shaky, but I'm staying at my sister's place and we've been able to decompress a bit. Turning in my rental car today, as I don't have to drive up to the Villages anymore. My sister can be my driver. :)

Saw my mom the day before yesterday at her apartment. She was in the dining room with her friends and her jaw hit the table when she saw me. We can spend more time with her now, and my sister's life can return to some sort of normalcy. I have another week here to rest up before returning to the tundra. The husband said we got about 8 inches of snow and he has had to take the tractor up the street a few times. I don't miss it right now.

Thank you guys for your well wishes and encouragement. I don't have a lot of friends, and you guys are kinda like family and it helped. I'm good, and I am blessed. 😊

words are hard to get right
but know this
we shall keep you and your family in our prayers
you hear allot about how time heals...better place yada yada.
i dis-agree with that premise, we are humans with a soul and we all heal or move, on our own time-lime
you take all the time you need, and know at least the insane asylum here has your back (y)

I'm sorry to hear of your loss,it's never easy. A old Medicine man told me something long time ago, when you feel a gentle breeze and you feel your hair moves just a little bit he said that would be your loved one blowing you a gentle kiss from the other side. Take care and walk with ease.
