What are you doing right now??

Baking a Boysenberry pie for tomorrow.
Wow, haven’t heard of Boysenberry anything in years! My mom used to bake them in pies way back in the day.
Right now we are watching old black and white Christmas movies and sipping on some festive nog. Tomorrow morning we are visiting the kids and grandkids for breakfast and a gift exchange. I’m not feeling much more than that. I’m still processing stuff and I’d rather be alone.

Had breakfast and some coffee. Mad Maggie her breakfast and she will be up soon. Looks like another warm day but it's supposed to change and get more seasonable by the weekend. Really nothing planned. Sitting here thinking about past holidays. Sure do wish things didn't change so drastically but I guess that's life. Makes me a little blue. I thank the lord for my wife and my dog. Without them I would be honestly all alone. Will try to enjoy what I have and this special day.

Sipping on my traditional coffee and Bailey's, then it's on to Christmas breakfast with the kids. They'll probably want us to go out to the farm for the big annual shindig, but the last thing I feel like doing is hanging around a bunch of people I don't know. I'd rather be at home, thank you very much. Merry Christmas everyone, wherever and however you celebrate. ❤️ 🎅

Reflecting on the events of the day. "Happy Birthday Jesus Christ".
The day started with an early phone call from my mother (88 yrs old) and my stepfather (93 yrs old). They where both prayed up (Rosary), dressed and ready for the steady parade of family they would see today. In total 4 generations throughout the day. They are in Tejas, I was there last month for Thanksgiving.
Here in Florida we went to daughter's house for a country Christmas breakfast. Egg and hashbrown casserole topped with bacon and cheese ,a side of cat head biscuits with pepper/sausage gravy. After breakfast I held my new grand daughter in my lap (6-1/2 months old) while sitting next to 12 year old grand son as we all opened various gifts and gags.
What a day to remember, I cannot help but think how blessed I am and Thank God for every day I am given.
Who would think that I would talk to two people in one day that were over 90 years apart in age.
MERRY CHRISTMAS friends.

Hi,

I'm glad you are all enjoying your Christmas celebration. Emmanuel! God with us.

Yesterday Mrs. BassCliff and I went over to celebrate with the kids and grandkids. We exchanged gifts and enjoyed our Christmas ham. I tell you, not many things warm my heart like having your grandkids hug your neck, and when you say, "I love you" they say, "I love you more!" 😍 I am truly blessed.

Today, Mrs. and I exchanged gifts after our traditional breakfast of French toast casserole. We've been watching football all day in our pajamas, snacking on leftover ham and pumpkin pie.

May you all be blessed with health and happiness in the New Year.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Does this french toast casserole contain apples, cinnamon and eggs per say? My wife makes one with those fixins ..

Having a cup and already gave Maggie her first walk of the day. It is 50 degrees outside and so quiet. Weather will be getting colder during the weekend so trying to enjoy it right now. Nothing really planned for today. Might take down some of the inflatables in the backyard today but the lights will stay for a few more days. Wife will be back at work today in the commissary but will probably be a slow day. Hope everybody's holiday was good.
