Just got home from work. As I was leaving the plant I couldn’t resist taking a picture of the sundogs. They were really pronounced and, unfortunately photos don’t really do them justice.

It’s pretty murky out this way. Mother Nature is moving snow around again. It’s dang cold too…

Im flying solo. Wife is in bed.

Daughter was up packing for Oklahoma then Australia till 4 am. Drove to OK at 6:30am..
Working a cattle convention then off to Aussie for 6 weeks.
Wife stayed up with her. 2 hrs sleep.. so… bachelordom for me tonight

That is beautiful! I've never heard of this atmospheric condition before. It's kind of like a cold, dry rainbow that refracts through ice crystals instead of water droplets. Amazing.

What are sundogs and how do they form?

22 worked good, never jammed in 100 rounds even with sub sonic ammo.

Hi,

Mrs. BassCliff and I spent some time shopping for a granddaughter's birthday present. Then I took her for some surprisingly nice Italian food. We tried a new place on a whim. On the way home we got a bottle of bubbly to celebrate tonight. We'll be together all evening since my gig got canceled. We've had light to moderate snow off and on for the last couple days, makes for a beautiful New Year's Eve.
