does she still live in her own home..??

my wife and i still do, and we maybe as old if not older than your mom...

you know don't you, the day is coming when you (if you are the oldest child), that you will have to out her into a nursing home....

costly, yes, but 24/365 watch over her.......

doctor there, or nearby on call, always.

that day is coming for wife or me as well....

you, me, the families, have to get ready for the big decision, and live with it.........

or have a tragic event take place, and no one there to help, or at least call 911.

good luck, but you do know.......its inevitable.

well, we had snow, up to 6" across the state..

it is heavy, wet snow, and my 2 sons have called us last night, to tell me NOT TO shovel any of it..

yeah, like i'm gonna listen.

i gotta go out soon, they will be here, i wanna scare them when they see me with a shovel in my hand..... :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO:

well, a little after i posted the above statement, i suited up, and went outside with a shovel, and my snowbrush.

the boys arrived and right away, the youngest yelled out..."go inside pops, we got this"

i looked puzzled (purposely) and said, "i didn't know when you were coming, so i already started"

well, if that didn't rile up both of them..

my wife was looking out the window, when i looked up and showed my teeth.....she knew i had gotten them.

anyway, they made quick time of it, and had some coffee, and left.

it was about 4 inches here, and wet, and heavy too.....

life is good when you get your kids all riled up.......

i think each could have melted the snow with all that heat comin g outta thier heads...lol....lol...lol

Almost finished my second cup and about to get me a bowl of Corn Chex. It's damn cold this morning and I don't see the need to move too quickly yet today. At least the wind isn't blowing at Mach 6 and I can actually SEE outside. 😎

Hi,

Well, I think @belladonna has me beat. I was up shoveling and salting my driveway a little earlier.

It's a sunny day, but a little chilly.

And the wind is kicking up every now and then.

My duo partner just called and asked if I could fill in at a gig this afternoon. Her other bass player can't make it. That means extra gig money for my bad habits! OK, let me get my day started. Stay frosty!

Thank you for your indulgence,

Wow, hope she gets better soon, btw save us forum members a cookie….

after the snow shoveling, the sun is out, and the temps have risen to 34 degree's...

so of course, some of that snow that was not completely shoveled to bare ground, is melting.

this is good, at least come later tonight, with bitter cold temps, the icing on the sidewalk and driveway will be kept to a minimum.

i cannot stand renters in the surrounding homes here, that do not make an effort to shovel snow...to me that's stupidity on thier part.

here in this area, the landlords just do not generally remove snow off the driveways or parking areas.

heck, many times, not even the front sidewalks.

many of the landlords are "absentee" ones at that.

so don't go b!tching that you fell down in your parking area on the snow or ice covered grounds.
