What are you doing right now??

Dang, I missed out on the excitement again. Last night I was lying in bed watching my usual Sat. night Combat with Vic Morrow. During commercials, I would be catching up on the forum. When I signed off for the night, a nice little cat fight was starting on a certain post. I didn't realize until just now that the whole thread was removed. It doesn't look like anyone was kicked off the forum or put in time out. I guess I need to stay up later at night when arguments start to get hot. I miss all the fun.

Hi,

I've been so busy this weekend, this is the first time I've sat down and actually had energy to scroll more than a minute on here. The husband is working a contract up in northwest MN up close to the Canadian border. He's working 6 days a week. Got off work at 11PM last night and drove four hours home in fog.

His schedule requires me to make sure his laundry is ready and that he has five meals to take with him for the next week (restaurants are slim pickings in the off season up there, as most are seasonal for tourists). So yesterday, between cooking and laundry, I cleaned the house...which is a feat in itself because we are in a three level and I have to drag the Shark all over (I have muscles I forgot I had 😎). I had to keep going because once I sit down, I'm done.

It has been in the mid 40s that last couple of days but today is only supposed to get up to 36. There's a Colorado Low brewing out west and we're supposed to get some precipitation on Wednesday. We're heading into late February and our weather gets wonkier than usual in late February into March. We could get anything. I just want the snow off the deck already so I can rev up the fire table. Yeah, probably too early to be thinking about that. Mother Nature is on a fresh batch of meds and revving up for the spring storms now. The snow is nearly gone, but she will dump a new batch or two on us before the season is over. Such is life in the upper midwest..

Well that sounds like another day in paradise. Sort of. Not really. I hope Mister's contract doesn't keep him away too long. Maybe you two can get out for the weekend after the contract is up.

I know what you mean about late winter/early spring. We could get anything. It's been in the 50s the last couple of days, snow is almost gone. We might even see 60° before it snows some more on Friday. I just haven't had enough fun shoveling my driveway this winter. I'm serious! ;)

My laundry is done. I should vacuum too but I don't feel like it. I'm supposed to have a class at the range tomorrow. I'm hoping my cold does not get any worse.

I think it's time to feed Mrs. BassCliff so I can go downstairs and watch some Olympics. Take care everyone.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Huh? Again? I always miss the good stuff!

Well...sent the man on his way. It's clouding over outside, but no wind. I'm sitting (finally) watching LA Firestorm. Truly sobering to watch. Even more gut wrenching when they ran out of water. I cried (and I'm not a crier) when the teen girl led her horse through smoke and wind to safety, finally calming him. All the other horses came up to him, making sure he was all right.
