Is the barrel obstructed?Well I'm wondering how long THIS crap gonna' take -- Walther said it sounded like a squib, so now warrantied. Told me to contact Federal (did that and copied the Walther email) --

Comment: I had what Walther arms described as a squib load that part of the cartridge is still in the gun Walther PDP. I will copy what they emailed me --
Sounds like there was a squib round that occured. The first step would be to reach out to Federal, as this would not be a warranty coverage as it was caused by defective ammo. Federal normally asks for photos of the ammo, batch and lot information and then you send the ammo to them, and then they tell you to send the gun to us and we have the gun sent in and provide an estimate for the cost and then they pay us, we fix the gun and send back to you.
Thanks Federal
Yeah, sounds like a headache. Had an issue with Freedom ammo and an FN Reflex. At first FN told me it was an ammo issue but when I sent the gun to them it was a gun issue along with some lousy ammo. FN fixed the pistol and Freedom had me send back ammo and they replaced it. Took FN 3 weeks to fix gun. When it came back I got rid of it. Freedom dragged their feet and took about 6 weeks to replace ammo. Sorry you have this headache but hopefully Walther will make everything right. Federal should also accept blame. I guess it happens more often than we think.Well I'm wondering how long THIS crap gonna' take -- Walther said it sounded like a squib, so now warrantied. Not obstructed -- round #17 from the third 18 round magazine was the squib. The case is still firmly attached inside, and the slide is back about 1½" -- the case is wrinkled, the LGS gunsmith said the barrel had ballooned and he verified via borescope that the barrel was toast, had no rifling and the case was not a live round. Is the barrel obstructed?
