testtest

What are you doing right now??

Coffee and a lite breakfast. Husky food ready for her. Was told I need to have colonoscopy yesterday. Really not looking forward to it. I took the cologuard test now they say I need the real test. It will be done next month. Oh joy.
yeah, my doctor does not like that cologuard testing, too many false positives, which they do say, on the commercials...

best to just go and get this done properly

Yeah they are trying to make it a big deal. Because of high blood pressure and i'm on blood thinners they have to do it in the operating room in the main hospital. I think it's because of my insurance which is good they just want to jack up the price by thousands. I'll get it done but I think they are fleecing somebody.

Sitting at the dealership. Just brought my ride in for a check. The engine cooling fan was coming on every time I drove it last week so the husband made an appointment for it and told me to drive his diesel (which I’m now in love with 🥰). It was also messing with the steering assist sensor apparently. They just told me that they have to lift the engine to replace it and the job will be about 6 hours and well over $1K. Thankfully it’s still covered by my extended warranty 😊.
So…now I’m just killing a little time before I text my friend. She and I were going to meet for lunch, but she offered to come pick me up if the job was going to take a while. I guess I’ll be hanging out in Fargo for the foreseeable future 😎.

wow, a good number of cars, that steering sensor is inside the car, usually just under the dashboard.....

what kind of car you got...a YUGOMANIA...????

Hi,

It's good to see all the shenanigans going on around here, teenagers eating like moose, ballistic therapy for automotive stress, slow cooking the meats, all good stuff. Except for maybe that Cologuard business. :p

I'm just about fixin' to get ready to head off to my little musical engagement when I noticed Lucy and Dezi have been hanging around again. It's good to have them back.

I'll fill up the feeders later and scatter some on the ground for their supper. Blessings to all.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

VA did the item in the sample thing earlier
but now days a colonoscopy is a good 2 hrs of restful sleep
the prep is easier and not as bad as it used to be
nothing says REST like bit of sleepy time juice .
plus we are old and its important to have the test
lots of people die from not knowing they colon cancer until its curtains

But I wish Cologuard would send a bigger bucket....

what some people may not realize, is that in order for the health insurance company to pay for the cologuard, the doctor must prescribe it, otherwise pony up the money, for what could be a false positive result, which they do warn about in the ads.

will your health benefits pay for cologuard with out your doctors prescription?

No, Cologuard typically requires a prescription from a healthcare provider to be covered by insurance. While it is a, no-cost-to-you preventative screening for most patients aged 45+ under the Affordable Care Act and Medicare, insurers generally require the order to confirm it is medically appropriate for your risk level.

Key details regarding Cologuard coverage:
  • Prescription Needed: You cannot simply purchase it over-the-counter and expect insurance reimbursement; a doctor must prescribe it.
  • Coverage for Eligible Patients: It is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance plans for average-risk individuals.
  • Cost: Over 96% of patients have no out-of-pocket costs.
  • Exceptions: In some cases, insurers may send kits directly to patients.

If you do not have a doctor's order, you may have to pay for the test out-of-pocket. It is highly recommended to check with your insurance provider first
