Well, darn. I lost the auction for the Hi-Point. I'm devastated. But that's OK. I've saved up enough gig money now so I can get myself something almost as nice. I'll be checking my emails for special deals.
I really was interested in the Hi-Point because I hadn't seen one in .45ACP with a 5" barrel. But now I'm window shopping for a Henry lever in .357. We'll see.

Making the second cup. Maggie has been fed and went outside to do what ever dogs do and is now back in the house relaxing. That dog makes me so happy and so glad I got her. I was truly lucky. Been up half the night worried about this colonoscopy. Doctors always make me nervous. I don't feel sick nor have any symptoms but that stupid cologuard test has ruined my happy world. I don't want to think about what happens if they find something, honestly it scares me, being someone's lab experiment. For the moment there is nothing I can do i guess except worry. Whatever happens i'll have to deal with it. Not ready to leave my wife and Maggie yet. Wish I had never gone to that doctors appointment to begin with.

I have had a colonoscopy every 5 years for 20 years, skipped last time with Cologuard. The prep lets you start over, and you get a nice nap. And of course passing gas afterward is thunderous. Relax and enjoy the nap, no use worrying till the results are in. The good news is if they find something they can fix it before it gets out of hand. Here's hoping for the best possible outcome

I'll chime in with @HayesGreener - I've been on the 5-year colonoscopy rotation for a while now. Sure, there is cancer in my family (mom and dad, and others), but so far, absent a few polyps, I've been good - that's why they do them, to catch things early when they are easily resolvable.
The prep is a drag, but it's a good "flush" of the system and I enjoy that moment when I'm chatting with the nurses . . . and then I'm waking up in recovery. It's fascinating to me how I'm there one moment and then, nighty night!

The first colonoscopy I had, they found and removed 4 polyps. Then I was on the five-year plan. I just had my last colonoscopy less than a year ago and all was good. I was a little surprised that the doctor now put me on the 10-year plan. So, my next one will be in 2035, assuming I'm still alive.

i went for my colonoscopy back in 2024
this what was found:

he removed them...one was not even a polyp, (that top one) but an inflammation but he thought it was a polyp and removed it all the same...
i have to go back in 2029 (5 years) if i too am still living...
before this last colonoscopy, was well before 2020, when i was supposed to go, but thanks to covid going around, i never went........not a good idea to skip a colonoscopy.......
i am on the patient portal right now, and it shows i had a colonoscopy back in 2015.......which i really do not recall
if he finds something, it gets removed, and sent in for testing........the follow up exam, he will tell you, what he found, how many he found, cancerous or not.........

Chapter 6 is full of comfort and assurance. It ends with "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
It's better to know these things so you can plan and prepare. I'm hoping that I'm at the end of my battle with cancer. I have another blood test in April and if the numbers are still good we can start using words like "remission" and "cured". But it's something the doctor and I will have to keep an eye on for the rest of my life. Regardless, I've prepared and signed all the papers so Mrs. BassCliff will be provided for, just in case I should leave this realm before her.
Try to be at ease. Just cross the bridge when you come to it. There's no use fretting. Be thankful for all your blessings. Your dog makes me happy.

Morning all! Yesterday was a good day. Came home to find my garbage can tangled up in the flagpole lights. 40mph gusts will do that 
. I had to take a pic so the husband would believe me..
My friend and I did lunch at the Kroll's Diner in Fargo. My first time there, and it was great. It's like an old school diner and the food is by scratch fabulous. Then we went to Drekker/ BrewHala and walked the market while sipping craft beer. Picked up my ride and didn't have to pay a dime. The drive home was interesting with the cross wind trying to push me off the road.
I just finished my second cup, and now I have to go into Moorhead to do what I didn't do yesterday. Today we're back in the freezer, 5 whole degrees with a -8 windchill. We're in yoyo season. I expect I'll be on and off the phone too because mom is in the hospital with fluid in her lungs and they can't get her sodium levels up.

Prayers for your Mom, @belladonna. It sounds like you had a successful excursion yesterday. We're in whiplash weather mode here as well. It was 60° and sunny yesterday. Today were expecting 3" of snow. Then warmer with lots of rain next week. At least it's not the same old boring SoCal weather all the time.

We were in the high 80's yesterday.Today will be in the high 70's with a breeze. Plenty of sun. Working on Earthbox planters for this years plantings. Already saw flowers and some veggie plants for sale. Still a little too early but by the middle of the month it will be go time.
