I just don’t get it, according to this administration, we (USA) are producing more oil and natural gas then ever, and have that Venezuela oil, and here no refinery is shut down, why is gasoline going up?

I'm an old toot but doesn't make sense to me either. Our average gas price today was up $0.50 per gallon.

It's a world market. Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz is affected by the shooting war so a lot of oil is not getting to refineries. Customers usually buying oil coming out of the Middle East are going to want to buy from other sources, like the USA, to make upbthe difference. The law of supply and demand drives prices. It is why our forces are so aggressive about killing Iran's navy and other forces that can attack shipping.

Maggie and I just got back from Lowes. Had to pick up a couple of things. She is now taking her nap and i'm getting ready to do some reading

Taking a me day today. We’ve gone from fog to again. The temperature has dropped 10 degrees since I got up and a front is supposed to blow through with precipitation (they haven’t decided which kind yet ).
Our gas prices (in the ND/MN Red River valley) have gone from an average $2.29ish up to $3.19 in less than a week. Unfortunately it is what it is and we pay because we need to. Sucks to be us I guess.
So yeah, I’m just kicking back here at the homestead for today. I’m thinking tomorrow will be a range day.
