What are you doing right now??

Hi all,

I'm glad Maggie had a good trip to Lowes with @NMEDGE . It sounds like it tuckered her out a little bit. ;)

The weather here is similar to @belladonna's. We just had a thunderstorm roll through, expecting them off and on all week, perhaps some more snow on Monday when it cools off. I'm itching to start my springime yard work but I'll have to wait for drier weather.

I got in my regular workout this morning. I've been fairly consistent with four per week. Not bad for an old man. I can't do 20 mile bike rides like some of you whippersnappers. (Cough - @Talyn - cough!) Now I'm enjoying coffee and fruit for lunch.

Speaking of gasoline, here it's gone from $2.29 to $2.99 since the start of hostilities. But I tell ya, I'd rather pay that for a while than have Iran with eleven nuclear bombs. It will stabilize after the dust has settled. Once the threat is neutralized and trade routes reopened, the price will drop and continue its downward trend. I'll wager it'll be below $2 in a few months.

But enough of my blathering. The weekend is coming up and I hope all of you have a great one.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Taking a me day today. We’ve gone from fog to 💩 again. The temperature has dropped 10 degrees since I got up and a front is supposed to blow through with precipitation (they haven’t decided which kind yet 🙄).
Our gas prices (in the ND/MN Red River valley) have gone from an average $2.29ish up to $3.19 in less than a week. Unfortunately it is what it is and we pay because we need to. Sucks to be us I guess.
So yeah, I’m just kicking back here at the homestead for today. I’m thinking tomorrow will be a range day. 😎
82° here. Move to Florida if you can handle bugs, snakes, gators, hurricanes, tourists, and refugees from
New York and California. All of which why we live way out in the country

Diesel has gone up about 90 cents in the last couple days
Glad I topped off a couple of days ago. I won't waste the fuel on little trips or small errands. I'm glad the wife and I kept her old car for running to town for small stuff and short errands when we bought her a new one last year. I just miss driving my truck sometimes. I love rolling the coal on hippies.

Sipping a whiskey before my dinner. I know, one usually sips whiskey AFTER dinner, but I'm doing ME today :). After dinner I'll load magazines and finish binge watching Outlander. The new season starts this month.

The sky is threatening, but it hasn't done much yet, it just refroze everything. I walked out to the mail box and darn near landed on my derriere. The driveway (which has a downward slope) was greased lightning! My cat like reflexes were the only thing that saved me. Actually, I probably looked pretty ridiculous but....I don't care 😎.
