Went chootin this mornin, then had a ton of errands to run and back to clean guns.

First up was the little Rossi, shot suppressed ammo too. little to no noise. didn't need hearing protection from either gun. shot about 150 in this and then 50 into a steel plate.

Now the ruger precision 22, these things are a blast. weigh a ton. all heavy metal. built like a tank. bolt works like butter. would put em in one hole if i could do it. i was bolting and shooting pretty fast on a few of these. those dern guys in Texas ain't put up no targets so i'm out.

Then went and bought some gun stuff, Hoppes 9 and a couple other items and then re supplied my gun oil.

We had "Nacho Average Sunday" at church today. In the gym there was free nachos and coffee for everyone.

Now I'm doing some web surfing, looking at western style holsters and belts for my revolvers. I found some at Huntercompany.com that I like and aren't to spendy. I'm also looking at some VZ conversion grips to give my "round butt" 686 a more traditional look. It's a restful Sunday. Be blessed.

Waited for a muskrat to re-appear in my pond for about 1/2 hour. Then he received a big kiss from my .12 gauge. Those things will make holes in the berm and drain a pond. Shot one last year and ate it. Wasn't great.

He may not even be a vet, probably paid to say all that BS. i find it hard to believe a vet that has run a gun is that stupid.

The vast majority of veterans were not in a combat arms sort of MOS. So they got the bare minimum (if any) training with weapons. And even those with an MOS that had weapons training, most of them had no kind of prior background with firearms. And really didn't want to expand on firearms training beyond what was required for their jobs or for qualification. I would venture to say most law enforcement officers are the same. It's just a job to them, and they have little to no interest in firearms, other than what it takes to keep the job.
