What are you doing right now??

well the service guy for my brand new (bought in oct 2025) washing machine left a while ago..seems i got a lemon after all, which is what i was b!tching about.

first, he had to replace the control unit, then the drain pump, then the wiring harness.

today he called the factory hotline and the noise we both heard is from the motor/transmission unit called a "splutch"....or "clutch", ...it has plastic gears...should we be surprised....??

anyway the factory recommends replacing that...i said sooner or later, every god damned part will have been replaced..just gimme a new machine...

he, the service tech said he will rather do that as well himself, for all the BS waiting times, with out my NEW DAMED washing machine...

i told him i will look into the stores line of washers and maybe select a Speed Queen instead..MADE IN AMERICA, not Meshico like this one.....and pay an slight differences in costs, and warranty coverage...

my god, our Sears Kenmore (made by Whirlpool) gave us 30 years of life..this POS, gave us maybe all of 8 weeks since Oct of 2025...!!!!!!!

we shall see, and i may start my own thread when they get back to me.

Hi,

I gotta quit goofing off, get myself cleaned up, and get to the range while I have time. After my little workout this morning I realized that I had to update a very important autopay account after geting my debit card replaced. There was an unrecognized charge on it recently and, in an abundance of caution, I had the card replaced.

Today I saw the picture on the fridge of the little boy in Columbia that we sponsor. It reminded me that I needed to update that account so that sweet little kid gets his food, clothing, education, etc, in his village. He's only 5 years old so his Mom helps with the corrospondence. We send chatty notes back and forth. It's cute. If you're so inclined, Children International (children.org) is a good outfit that fills critical needs. For less than the price of dinner out once a month you can make a big difference in a little kid's life.

Thank you for your attention to the matter. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

In my experience with appliances, I have had much better luck with the basic stuff and leaving the high maintenance stuff for the kids. Refrigerator needs to keep the food cold and the freezer is to freeze. Washing machine needs 3 settings, like a dryer. Too many electronic stuff these days
exactly..the wife and i had a difficult time trying to get as basic a machine as possible...no computer, just knobs and dials...this was a near basic with a control panel that was minimal for the price.

i checked the stores inventory again today, and for a "Higher price", we can get a speed queen with dials....!!

what F-ing sense does that make..????

the electronic sh!t should be higher priced......

so again, we will "see" what the store says, and if we can "just pay the difference", the we already have a speed queen picked out.

they claim.."up to 30 years of life".......well, wife and me ain't got 30 more years, but at least, when we take it to our graves, we will have clean angle suits.....

What angle would that be...45 degrees, 90 degrees, 180 degrees, or 360 degrees? This is a very important thing to know.

oh yeah, i showed the service tech my latest target......my S&W 1911...in 45 ACP..

and told him i have had enough with this POS NEW washing machine, and it'll get the same pattern as on the target.

he asked the size of the bullets...told him 45, and that 2 boxes of ammo, weigh more than the gun...

then i did a "show and tell", having him hold a box of 9mm, then just 1 box of 45's...

he could not believe how heavy the box was......

that may also be why he said he will "push the company for the exchange"

What brand do you have now?

Went chootin, took the SA 2020 rimfire. man this thing is nice. about 60 yards from the bipod. first target on the right is from sighting in this new suppressed ammo. with that dead air mask all you hear is the firing pin. the other targets had a couple flyers and that was all me. i jerked and knew i did. shot 200 rounds.

i was getting tired of bolting it. lol

Then this POS, and crappy ammo. one blew up on me and trash the gun. cheap crap. guess it bent something cause the cylinder won't rotate and hammer won't pull back. what's the deal with guns blowing up on me. lol but i never knew anything happened. never felt or heard anything different. anyway took it to the gunsmith and he said yep the cylinder rod is bent so he gave me a box to send it back in. when i get it back it's gettin traded. even before it screwed up it was hitting all over the place. happened on about the 15 round
