Went chootin

I ain't havin too good of luck with guns as of late. took this foxtrot mike 45 to shoot. welp, i noticed it buckin a little more, but shot about twenty and all were hitting right and then i seen one. all of them were like that. was shooting remington subsonic.

well i immediately stopped and took it to gun smith. took him the ammo and some blazer brass. I left it and he called me about five hours later and said yer ammo is over charged. i said it's subsonic. he said yep that's what the label says but it ain't. i did notice it thumpin me pretty hard. he said he put the blazer brass in and bingo. problem solved.

Remington ammo sucks, and i don't live very far from the place. i usually never buy any ammo from them. had too many failures from it in about every caliber. so i go to pick up the gun and he says take it around back and shoot it with the blazer, so i did and man what a difference. they must have that case on that remington crap packed full of powder or used the wrong kind. anyway, lucky i didn't blow myself up.

You ain't blowing up those rental guns are you?

Just spent a couple of hours sitting out on the front porch enjoying some peepaw country music and sipping on some vodka lemonades. I'd still be out there if the sun hadn't moved and started beating down on me. It had been quite a while since I had enjoyed some sitting, sipping, and enjoying some country music outside.

Posse coming out to my range to shoot pistol, then lunch at a a Jack's that just opened. I am changing up the course of fire to make things more interesting. I need to stop at the glass company to order glass for the sword display case I am building. More later.
We were busy saving the hostage on the range today

Just made some coffee. Maggie also got up and wanted breakfast. She is sitting outside now in the cool temperature. Other than the range nothing planned for today so far. Just remembered that my best friend for over 30 years died a year ago today. It doesn't seem that a year has passed. I do miss him and wish he was still here with his family.

Had to travel out of town this morning, stopped in a town name Heber Springs and ate lunch at the sonic, on the way out i went through the town. about 150 to 200 was having a no kings protest lined along the road downtown. idiots were waving signs at every car and they was very close to the road. i started to give them all the number one sign, BUT...i won't admit to no guilt but i mighta rolled a little coal on all of em. 😁

spent most of morning
drying the remaining wet things in the big garage
from the ice maker flood of 2026 around 10 15 pm last night
the ice maker decided it needed to keep filling the tray, over and over and over, until the freezer door popped open from water..
spent late or early this morning squeegee and wet vac the floor
found out from my superior deduction of testing :ROFLMAO: the water supply valve stuck in the LET IT FLOW position
best part is it was only about 10 gallons, but looked like a flood, the ice maker uses RO water so after 5 gallons the rate of flow was very slow as the system cant keep up after the tank is emptied so it just kept rinsing the line as it was
new parts arrive monday (y)
