What are you doing right now??

Went chootin, first was the Aero Precision 76.2x39, worked perfect. even in the frt mode. 50 yards off a front rest...errr tree. left target was getting it centered. sight is only a one power. couldn't really see much

Second was the Shark coast tactical 5.56. right one is sighting it in, the left one by the time i got to it it was in the shade and i couldn't make out the center so i was off a bit. sight is not magnified and, just a dot. plus i got a call from the gun shop something of mine had came in and was excited and ready to leave the chootin tree.

Dogs fed, coffee and protein bar on board. Son and daughter cooked a fabulous meal of steak and shrimp last night. Grandkids came in with a trove of wild blackberries from the fencerows. Heading to the seafood market at 0730 for salmon and shrimp for tonight's dinner. Family, friends, feasting, much laughter, grandkids and dogs, making great memories. Life is good.

That is the part of life that I miss. For me, family has all passed away. Friends have either moved back to be with their family or have passed away. Many a dog has went to dog heaven. I never thought I would be in this predicament. Seems odd at times but have to play with cards that are dealt with. Wife and I try to enjoy life as much as we can. She handles it better than me but she knows I am lonely most of the time. For me life has tuned into memories and they keep me going.

Guys in my posse who have no family have made the posse their family.
 
Have a thunderstorm blowing through. I had to let the dogs in and put a thunder shirt on Aunt Bee. She is terrified of thunder. A big, bad *** 95lb. German Sheperd is now hiding out in our master bedroom closet. During storms it becomes her safe space. Opie, my male German Sheperd doesn't care a bit. He just likes being in the house, chewing on his rawhides.

waiting on boat parts
flushed all the passages, yesterday, found some off nominal (nasa speak) issues
so hopefully new water pump, etc fixes it all
rain expected all next week, yippeeeee we need it
