earlier today, i did my semi-annual smoke detector cleanings....had to vacuum around the ceiling of each detector to make sure no cobb webbs, the all around the opening of each one...
all stinking 40 of them, in ALL 3 apartments, front and rear hallways, and the basement.
it took a matter of about 1 hour to do...
but setting up the power cord locations, then setting up the step ladders, then climbing them, and getting bouts of vertigo.....took longer than the vacuuming...
wife asked me to also take out the upright vac, and help do the carpeting as well
then wife took a fit of "must clean now sh!t", and decided to clean out the fridge, which i had to ferry a hot pan of dishwasher soap to her.....and i had to vacuum under the fridge, and what could not be vacuumed, i had to reverse the hose and use the blower end.....oh F-ing joy, more sh!t to clean up.
sometimes...retirement sucks toads threw a catheter.
now, i gotta go shave my head, and my back.........and take a shower

Looking outside and everything is brown! We have 50mph winds so if it's not bolted down it's gone! Was going to wash the cars today but thank god I didn't, it would have been a waste. Watered yard first thing this morning and got the husky walked. She also got a massive brushing. With all this wind it just flew away. So confined to the house for the rest of the day. Maybe there is something good on tv.

Now watching Revenge of the Sith while Mrs Greener is out shopping for prom shoes with 18 y.o. granddaughter to go with the dress she made. This is the third senior prom dress Mrs Greener has made, she's going to run out of granddaughters to make prom dresses for, only 2 more to go!

Just got back to the hotel. We had an amazing steak dinner at the Del Bar in the Dells. Thought I was going to explode but the tequila shot settled everything down. Driving back to MN tomorrow through rain storms so the truck will get a good wash. I do believe I’ll live to see another week

all metal CZ's i do believe come part like that...at least, all 3 of mine do..complaining about how to remove the slide on the cz ts2 blue
i am not certain on the polymer CZ's, as i own none.
(i just checked at least 1 video, the polyment CZ's seem to remove the slide like the Glocks)
what i use is a flat wooden dowel, rather than the rubber mallet in this video, and press it into the frame.
it never loosens up over time, as it is held into place by a spring.......you would have noticed the "groove" in the pin where the spring rests, once you get it out.
just make sure you line up the 2 "marks" on the slide...a little off the mark, will make it difficult

i have had my first CZ 75B since 2020, and that slide lock pin is just as tight today as when new, and maybe about 4,000 rounds thru it, and multiple cleanings.

Just got back, doctor couldn’t safely do it, where it’s lymph node is at, my left lung and bile was in the road since with no kidney there, stuff has shifted. So he calmed it offSending prayers and positive thoughts, my friend. I’m sure it will work out fine.
