What are you doing right now??

Our registration fee's just went up 25% July 1st. The state has to get more money to pay for free childcare for everyone! What a joke.
my state, registrations fee's also include a state DOT surcharge......of (depending on what you are doing).......

$20.00 for drivers license renewals............

$40.00 for yearly truck registrations,

or $40.00 for car registrations every 2 years. .

no one can explain what that is, where it goes......it just gets tacked onto the registration/license

as well as "technology surcharge" of $3.50...ON EVERYTHING at the DMV

credit card surcharge from $1.55 up to 2.40%......over a $65.00 charge.

dumbocrappers gotta rape us, to pay for :poop: for the illegals, to live here in a sanctuary state.

Just made it home from a wasted trip to the county seat, TX DMV. I was going to renew the registration on the Planet Killer, but I forgot some needed paperwork. I already have DV (Disabled Veteran) plates on the truck, but wanted to update them with the handicapped wheelchair symbol on them. I have handicapped placards, but once in a while I park in a handicapped spot and forget to put the placard on the mirror. I don't want to chance a ticket. I don't want to have to drive all the way there again today. I'll go back Monday morning with all my paperwork this time.
you know if you have the DV on the plate, you dont need to post the blue placard .
but yes the wheel thing makes it easier
if a policeman runs the plate with the DV it will show you have the handicapped plate

i forget mine all the time
PLUS dv plate you dont pay parking meters plus a few other small extras

That's actually not true anymore. Just having DV plates is not enough. You still have to display a placard parking in handicapped spaces unless you have the wheelchair symbol on the plate. The few times I've forgotten to put it up, I got lucky to not get a ticket. And good luck trying to explain that out of state to a non-TX cop when parking in a handicapped spot. Here are the rules about it. https://www.txdmv.gov/sites/default/files/body-files/SB792_DV-Plates-Parking.pdf
