got the outside chores done before 9

at 1159 it was already 101, now its 105 very dry 38% humidity
thought i heard thunder and got all excited... nope.. just a concrete truck

praying for rain
mrs boatr got positives from the ear cancer doc this morning, n more bandages inside the house
cleared for range time with bandages, and boating if early in day... for limited times, so we shall wait a few weeks
but range is early tomorrow

Having some breakfast with my coffee. Husky food ready for her. Will do some reading after this and massage my back. Left leg is better but still terrible if that makes sense. Still very warm outside and yard looks terrible. Work is ok but seems to be slowing down just a bit. Hope everyone has a great day.
 
Coffee and breakfast done and critters fed. Shooting on my range with posse today. We'll probably shoot the El Presidente and Mozambique drills today and finish up with the carjacker drill the UV index today is extreme so we are going to start and finish early. Taking my 15 year old Lab to the vet for a checkup late this afternoon. It is getting harder and harder to bend over to pick her up and lift her into the back seat of the pickup. I am telling you, youth is wasted on the young.
 
another overcast day.....i dunno, i might finish the brick of SPP's, i got like 300 left, to do 9mm's.....

would you believe...htat at 7:30 AM...a smoke detector......that again, believe it or not...was sitting on the living room lamp table....that i bought LAST year....that I NEVER installed or had any of my sons or sons-in-law install for us....

sounded off.....???

yup...

and just minutes ago, it sounded off again...???

yup...been sitting for a year, waiting to be installed...on the lamp table.......sounded off...???

i did not want to wake up at 4:30....

i felt lousy all last night, before bedtime, and told the wife..."i'll wake up, when i wake up"...actually hoping, that i never woke up again..????


god damned smoke detector, NOT EVEN installed......wakes me up


SONOFABASTOIDAVITCH.........

so now what...???

reload the final primers of that brick....

or fill up a pail of water, and drown that SOB...NEW smoke detector...????

Normally my pups get fed outside. But in this heat, they won't eat. So I bring them inside during the hottest part of the day so they can cool off a little and eat. Even though they stay in the house at night, I don't feed them or water them in the evening, because I don't want to have to let them out during the night to do their business. 98% of the time, they make it through the night without having to be let out. And they let us know if they really need to go. In these pictures, I have Opie, my male, on a leash. I do that so he won't try to eat Aunt Bee's food also. I'm bored, so I am entertaining myself by watching them eat.
