we got back from the surgeons office about 2 hours ago..on the way home we stopped at a wendy's and got thier crispy chicken sandwiches which are under $3.00 each here...and some fries.
good and not so good time with the doctors nurse practitioner, who frankly was a really nice well informed and professional gent.
well, i think i told you of my left knee, it is confirmed with a new x ray, that it is bone on bone
the doctors Nurse practitioner and i spoke at length if the gel shot might work, to get me thru the winter, for a possible replacement in early spring..
he said, "it very well might give me relief for a few weeks"
but he could not give me that gel shot now, due to the steroid shot 2 weeks ago, so the office will call me to set that up, and inform me of any additional copays for that shot.
then i asked about...copays......on the replacement knee.
if the surgery is done at thier clinic, they want ALL the copays up front...
he did say the doctor goes to a hospital and at least there, the hospital can make payment options
i said this is what i am up against being retired and on social security...he said he gets it, and not to worry now about it, until the billing dept gets back to me on the copays......
when we were there, i can't say the wife and i saw too few older people..as there were many.
even with a pension, and savings, how does anyone afford huge copays..???
well, i cannot worry too much about that at the moment
