Good evening everyone,

The kids and grandkids came over after church today. We celebrated a couple of birthdays after supper. The youngest is turning 10 and son-in-law 47. She got new clothes and a necklace. He got a new Wayland sweater and a case of 9mm. We also played bean bag toss. A good time was had by all. I am blessed.

Just drove 3:34 hrs from N Dallas to Houston. 265 miles. Usual Jeeps, Prius and Billy Bob raised up trucks camping left lane at speed limit .

Isn't the speed limit 85mph in parts of Texas?

Yes but not between DFW-HOU
Most of it is 75mph. Ran 90 -92 unless into metro dfw and Hou where it dropped to 65

Amazing the amount of folks in left lane at 70mph .

Florida changed the law a few years ago making it illegal to hog the left lane on the highway. The left lane is for passing. It's getting better after some enforcement.

Up with a cup of coffee. Husky food ready. Looking forward to a 2 day weekend. Hopefully it will be a busy week for us. Still hot but should start cooling down a little in September.
