Just got optic covers for Holosun EPS dots. A minor purchase but will help to keep optic windows covered when cleaning pistols.

I love the optic cover that came with my Vortex XLfor that very reason, need same for SRO'S. Like you say, they are great when "Swabbing the deck".

SRO is taller, XL is wider, dot never leaves window with either. Very simple, "FEATURES" on both are adjustable brightness. Put the dot on the target, put a hole in the target.

so, the window comparisons are roughly the same, but different shape then? i couldn't decide between the sl and xl, but i think the sl is slightly smaller. now just to find 1 or both to compare on size in hand

Yes, XL is the largest in the Defender series.

In retrospect wish I had gotten SAO on my 229 Legion. My 226 is SAO I really like it.

I’m wavering between a Romeo X and a Holosun SCS 320 for this 229.

I’ve got my DPP mounted on it…but I think I want to switch it over to the Prodigy.

Simon's out of his mind, the SCS is a great one. Especially if you want a small footprint, co-witness without suppressor height sights, auto brightness that actually works and not to have to screw around with batteries. Ever.
