What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

I had a Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 magnum that a friend has been trying to get from me, unsuccessfully, for at least 5 years.
Yesterday he offered to trade for a 5.5" Ruger Redhawk 44 magnum, and I agreed.
It came with a nice right hand Ruger leather holster, but I'm left handed so I just went to the Ruger site and ordered one.

By the way - I'm glad to be here, y'all seem like a bunch of nice guys.

Welcome from Southern Illinois.

Did your Blackhawk have the 7.5" BBL. ? I have shot 2 different .44 mag blackhawks and both were very accurate .

Yes, Welcome to the forum. I've been looking at a large revolver, can't decide on .357 or .44. Maybe I should just get both.

Thank you for your indulgence,

.357 is cheaper to shoot, plus you can also use .38spl, 44 mag is expensive and 44 spl is very expensive and at times hard to find, just my input, I own both and personally prefer the .357

I own both and definitely prefer the .44, but the .357s are a lot of fun too. And depending on which .44 you get, recoil might be a consideration. A super Blackhawk and a Model 29 in .44 mag are going to be a handful for some people.

Competed and hunted with 44 mags for many years. Unfortunately arthritic hands wont take the heavy recoil anymore. If it were possible would love to have a 454 Casull or even a 500 S&W.

My Ransom Multi Cal Steady Rest showed up today.
