The Ronin AEMS Holosun green donut of death came in. it's bigger than i thought but has a nice field of view.

As I am apparently cursed with the need to collect bladed weapons in addition to firearms..........

I lucked into a Gerber MkII, serial number dates it to 1968..........

And I paid about average price, I guess, in excellent + shape, and complete with the original scabbard.

Still surprised I paid what I did, and it ain't a WWI/WWII 1905 bayonet, or the like......
LOL

Dude has no clue WTF he's doing bro. Find a different shop.
i don't have any choices when it comes to local ffl's. the person i've known and bought my 1st pistol (18yo '84) is closing up. i don't get out of town much and barely get to town (7 mile drive) due to daily neck pain. even if someone else drives it doesn't help when you feel like :poop: every day nearly 24 hours a day. hoping to get that fixed and get back to having a life! i passed on having a morphine drip bag/injection pump due to i like my kidneys. i'm not much on fixing 1 problem to have another. but ya, i agree on using another ffl. prices on day necessities are terrible in this town as i used to go shop elsewhere (50+ miles) at least once a week. might spend $800-1,500 when there as spending per item locally would cost at least another $300-500. that makes fuel seem no concern. the dealer that would do it didn't have an issue of the extra work, but since i've known him all my life and his oldest was a classmate of mine i waited the extra 7-10 days. he's a good person that has lost both his sons. 1 was less than 20 and the other in his low 40's. when it comes to sg's, ar lowers, ba receivers and ar's and other rifles all will do a no limit per 4473. pistols seem to be the difference?

Kidneys are nice things to have around bro. I hope you get your neck problems fixed, that sounds terrible.

On a side note, do you know what Ruidoso looks like now? Or even if they're letting people thru/in?
You can go there but it's a mess. Every time it rains it floods. That place will never be the same again. People can't get loans to rebuild because no-one will insure them. Government has slow leaked giving help and insurance companies do not want to pay or even talk to their customers. Thank god i never purchased up there, I wanted to years ago. Its going to take decades!

The gradual getting worse means gradually, but 20 odd years really catches up. Sure makes life not fun. Living is a different story as I've known as few that has had similar issues that have taken their lives. Might be more to their stories don't know about. I'm not to that point and I have other interests that keep me going! Never give up, never surrender! 1 of the very 1st things I take care of when I get my money from the fire damage is get my neck hopefully fixed. I hope they can and will fix it w/o removing the fusions from c2-c6. With the screws being removed either they'll need some spackle or caulk to fill the holes 🤷‍♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣. I tell my doctor that and he just laughs.
