the only savage brand firearms i own or have ever shot are 300wm and 338lm. other than that 1 have 2 savage 110 actions for long action magnums i built on for another 300wm and added a 264wm into the mix.Any of you have any dealings with a Savage 64 precision?

I will get to my purchase order, but first I have to lead up to it.
There is a Sig guy at work. No big deal.... until he gets going about how Sig is sooooo much better than literally everything else.
Fortunately he is pretty thin skinned and his current carry is a P320. All you have to do is ask him how many AL'S he's had and he gives you a 5 minute speech about how its all unfounded and storms off.
Well someone told him I tinker with guns. He asked me to help him with something, and I would have, but I said (jokingly)I'm not a demolitions expert so if he wants help on his Sigs I might not be that guy.
Well? He got a little hot under the collar and started running down Glock. I have no dog in this fight. Sure, I own a Glock and carry one for duty, but when I started at my current agency it was either a Glock or a M&P.
The only M&P I own is a full size M&P40. They let me start out with a G26. Anyways, in his caterwauling he said something akin to, "My Sig will out perform any Glock."
I asked him if his 320 was original. That was a mistake. It was the same stuff anyone ever seems to do to a striker fired pistol: springs; trigger; barrel; sights; red dot. He probably spent more on these things than the pistol cost.
Anyway, a challenge was thrown down and now I am building a Glock.
I have a Gen 3 G23 frame. For it I picked up a few things:
I don't have a .40 G23 slide. I would like to have one of these in lieu of the Dagger slide. The problem is this is a novelty project. I think. I mean the most expensive thing I bought was the trigger and it wasn't all that much. I don't want to sink a ton of money into it.
So anyways I bought a few Glock parts.

- Agency Arms trigger (eBay)
- Lone Wolf spring, 6# (also eBay)
- Extended slide stop/release (still eBay)
- Ghost Inc. trigger connector (from Ghost Inc.)
- Flared magwell (yup, back to eBay)
- Extended mag release (same)
