I've been going through an insane amount of 9mm ammo as of late, especially now that the misses goes to the range with me.

I suggested us getting a .22 for cheap plinking, I hate Glocks, she likes them, so we're compromising and getting a Glock 44 V ... Picking that up Sat. morning.

Who knows, maybe if I find something interesting in .22 while we're there (or elsewhere), I'll get something different for myself... If they have a Walther P22Q there, I wouldn't mind taking a peak at that.

Probably grab a few hundred rounds of something .22 while we're out and about too... I've been trying to buy 9mm whenever I'm in a store that has what I'm looking for, but here in South Central WI, it's getting to be slim picking unless you buy garbage, I know I can probably find some online, but I do try to support my local "little guys" whenever I can.

i have a walther p22 and not sure if it has the Q or not, but what i don't like about it is the takedown lever/switch/or whatever you want to call it keeps unlocking while i'm shooting..............it's a grip issue, but it's still a pita! i haven't heard anything good about the g44.............hopefully it'll be a good 1 for you 2!

Oh boy, that news on the Walther isn't what I wanted to hear LOL, maybe I'll see if our usual range has a rental I can run before I drop the coin for one.

As far as the Glock... I have heard there have been some issues with it not running "budget" ammo, it sounds like it prefers higher quality rounds?...

As I understand these new "V" models are somewhat of a redesign? I'm no Glock aficionado so I honestly don't know. This one is more for her than me anyway, so if she digs it, I guess that what counts.

the takedown is just in front of the trigger guard that slides down off the bottom of the frame.......it's ambi. so either have short fingers and/or don't have any on the frame pointing forwards...........keep fingers wrapped around the trigger guard to keep from tripping the takedown. it's not like it disconnects by itself. other than that it's been a good trainer firearm.
