I almost always buy .223 over 5.56. One of my rifles is a '68 Colt Sporter. I wouldn't want to feed it something that would be bad for it's digestion

I used one of those to replace a badly worn one on my Colt Combat Commander. It fit and functioned perfectly. As an aside, I do not use the slide stop lever to release the slide. That's where the most wear happens. Instead I grab the slide from the top and pull back to release the slide.

FYI, even though most say drop in, you still may have to have it fitted due to tolerances in 1911’s, actually there is no one size fits all when it comes to gun parts, give it a try, hopefully it works out.

That's about what I have seen both in the LGS and the gun show prices.

I believe you are getting two different revolvers mixed up. The Single-Six is normally a .22 rimfire. The .357 is the Blackhawk. Both are very fine firearms.

What length barrel does it have? $600.00 is a good price for what you describe.
