Received and installed a SA threaded extended barrel with Comp on my Hellcat.

My dad was a tank driver in WWII. He was in every major battle from the tail end of North Africa, Sicily, Italy, D-Day, Breakout-Hedgerow, The Bulge.
When he was drafted, he was hoping to go in to the Army Air Corps as a Gunner of some type. He expressed his desire and was told he was too claustrophobic to be in a plane crew, according to the test batteries that were used for potential job placement. He told me a couple days later he was told he was going to be in a tank crew. LOL.
 
Went to check out that S&W 22x yesterday after seeing the article here on the site. Nice balance but god awful safety or should I say useless. While there, I put that P211 GTO in my hands. Showed it to the wife and mentioned something about Christmas being just around the corner lol. Been wanting one for awhile as @SimonRL seems to be very happy with his. But $2399 under the glass. Not in a hurry. I casually asked if they had any 686's available. As the gent was saying no, I spied one on the bottom shelf. He then found it, told me it was used and they had an additional 10% on all used firearms. It didn't look like it had been shot at all! I'll be picking up a used, mint 686 plus SS 4" today for $520 out the door 😃
