I don't think there is one universal answer to such a question.

Wouldn't it depend on the environment where you find yourself and the circumstances?

Dirty magazines can lead to feed problems. It's best to keep your magazines clean.

It depends on what you’re surviving, i suppose. Out in the wilderness? Making fire, shelter and clean water. Natural disaster? Keeping warm, having enough provisions and clean water (and ability to make more, if needed) and a means by which to keep others away from your stuff (guns, ammo and ability to use them). Social breakdown/zombie apocalypse? All the above plus hunting/fishing and sustained zombie head shots (because they won’t die, otherwise).

Just how desperate for attention DO you have to be to agree to run around in the buff with a stranger while trying to scrounge for food, water and shelter, dealing with bugs, briars and assorted flora and fauna, all while being filmed by folks who are warm, comfortable and eating well? I’ve read that the networks love these stupid un”reality” programs ‘cause the “stars” work cheap for the attention. If you want Reality drop ‘em off on their own and come back in a month or so….

Prepared to deal with "tangible" emergency situation that can occur in your area such as wildfires, tornado's, hurricanes, power outages and their resulting shortages like food, water & commonly used items (aka tp) vs. pie-in-the-sky scenarios.
