What KNIFE do you carry

Lots of good mentions in this thread so far, and lots of good ideas.

I have a drawer full of nice knives, many I never abuse of take as a daily carry. I’m always looking for good quality, reasonably priced pieces, some I’d use everyday and some better suited for when the SHTF.

Thanks for the ideas fellas.

When Armageddon comes I'll be carrying this one

1976 Queen country cousin. Don't hunt big game anymore, so if I'm out in/on the wood's, waters, and fields, this is still what you most likely will find. If I'm real ambitious, I'll slip on a Grohmann #2. I'm not a minimalist, just too lazy to carry a bunch of unnecessary crap.

I have several knives I rely on. Two Swiss Army's--one stays in the truck at all times--a folding Buck knife and a Kabar. And honestly over the course of the day the Swiss Army knife is the one I use the most for just about anything. The Buck I wear on my belt when doing outdoor work, tree work, fence work etc. And the Kabar for hunting and field applications.

This was the only kind of knife I was allowed to have when I was at work, before I retired from federal service on a military installation. Now that I am retired, I can carry any kind of knife I want. But around my place my former work knife still gets the most use.

I'm deployed,(Europe). I ALWAYS have a folder, either Emerson's ZT's or Pro-Tech auto's. Small of my back is an Esee Izulla II, 1095 steel, razor stropped. The Ezee has been the last year & I have seen the light as to smaller knives. In my pack beside an IFAC, is a Leather man, O'light & my cigars. I have had a knife in my pocket since I was 5-6 yrs old. I would be walking sideways without that weight on the right side.

Buck 110 Hunter, Gerber multi-tool and a Buck 110 Slim Select.

One of those knives, sometimes both and the Gerber multi-tool are on my person anytime I'm wearing pants.

I bought the Buck 110 and the Gerber at the PX on Fort Carson in the mid-90s. They lived on my LBE until I ETSed in 2003.

After that they were either on my tool belt or in my roll away until I became a security guard in 2007. Then they rode on my duty belt.

I bought the Slim Select (blue) in between the (very short) time I got my lump sum from the VA and the time I retired.

I have no idea why that knife clicked with me but it did. I carry it most days. I probably carry the 110 3 days a week

Hard to beat a Buck 110.

What is that white stuff in the background? I hate that stuff.
