Hello all, here is today's article posted on TheArmoryLife.com. It is titled “What’s a Roach Belly?” and can be found at https://www.thearmorylife.com/cold-steel-roach-belly-review/.

Thanks, Belt Fed. It is a lot of knife for the money and stays wicked sharp.Pretty good lookin knife, price ain't bad either.
FWIW, the article’s sheath is not what comes with new Roach Bellies. The newer sheaths are Secure-Ex, which is CS’s Kydex or Boltaron analog. From what I could see the sheathe looks OK; but only OK. So many knife makers skimp on the sheathe and make what could be a good knife unusable because of a crappy sheathe.. They either have a poor belt loop or put the retaining strap on the edge side of the blade, so that every time you draw the knife the strap gets cut.
Cold Steel used to make nice knives back in the Lynn Thompson days. Now Im not so sure. Everything looks like it was made for the WalMart/Flea Market crowd....I know they are going for a certain price point but please. Ive got an original Cold Steel Tanto from the early days, todays version looks like it was made in an Afgan hut and the sheathe is even worse
Well thats a big NO for me then.FWIW, the article’s sheath is not what comes with new Roach Bellies. The newer sheaths are Secure-Ex, which is CS’s Kydex or Boltaron analog.
