I think it was a 460 nitro express

Ive tried a couple tens but didnt stick with them. I do think 10mm would make a great SMG cartridge. Ive been toying with a the Idea of a SBRd Kriss Vector and maybe a Glock to go with it

I was in a 198 unit at Fort Lewis Btry A 3/11 FA.

The 198 is a pig but at least you don't have to break track on it.

Ive had and sold three 50 BMGs. Once I took out that huge rock in the back yard there wasnt much need. I had to have them but lack of a suitable range beyond 200m meant I couldnt stretch them out. I ended up mounting an Eotech on my M107 like the Coastguard did/does to stop drug boats. That was kinda cool but I moved on.

I bought a Merkel double rifle in 470NE for Afrika. Its a great gun and probably the best visiting hunter cartridge for Dangerous Game; but still I wanted more. When I bought it I wanted a 500NE. Now I want a classic 577 Nitro.

Ive got a 10 gauge double rifle. Its a Hog killer for sure; but I want a 4 Bore (imagine a gun that fires a ball weighing 1/4 pound of lead. I suppose I could settle for a 8 Bore.

500 S&W has always seemed like a better rifle then handgun cartridge to me. Big Horn Armory makes a lever action in 500 but I wanted something else, so I had a barrel made for my T/C Encore. Its 16 inches and it just about perfect for hiking in Bear/Hog country.

Whats YOUR Big Bore?

Having rifles like that with nowhere to stretch them legs is a travesty. Luckily we have a 1,000 yard range here within easy driving distance. I had people ask me what it's like shooting a .308 to 1,000 yards. I was honest and told him. " I miss a lot" lol... . I don't think people understand what goes into shooting that far. As for Iarge guns my .44 ruger super Alaskan is more than enough for me. I don't see how shooting 454 and stuffs enjoyable at all lol
