Colt has announced 8 new revolvers (in-line engineering changes/tweaks) by adding upgraded and enhanced Hogue over-molded rubber grips to Cobra and King Cobra models.

One of which is the...

King Cobra 8” Target .22 Long Rifle

The last new wheelgun we’re going to cover today from Colt is the King Cobra 8” Target .22 Long Rifle (SKU: KCOBRA22-SP8RFO), which has an MSRP of $1,149. The extended 8" barrel enhances sight radius and stability, making it an exceptional choice for precision target shooting, small-game hunting, and training. Chambered in .22 LR, it offers minimal recoil and affordable shooting - ideal for high-volume practice without sacrificing performance. This 10-round capacity revolver maintains the same standard, premium features that all of the King Cobra Target revolvers have, which are listed below.

Key Product Details:

  • Colt Forged stainless steel construction
  • 10-round capacity
  • Double/single action operation
  • Hogue rubber over-mold grip
  • Fully adjustable rear sight and fiber-optic front sight
  • One-piece barrel construction with a recessed target crown

Missing the mark. Us old guys that still like revolvers also like walnut!
I’ll agree there’s nothing better looking than blued steel with wood brown stocks however hard to beat Hogue or Pachmyr for shootjng.

The good news is VZ and others makes some great G10 stocks that have the walnut, coco bolo or other wood look but are GREAT to shoot so the best of both worlds!

Just my thoughts

Wood for range, rubber for woods.

While some of my revolvers have rubber grips on them, I never have liked Hogue's version. They don't fit me or feel right at all. I'd dump 'em for some nice wood.
