Which Springfield Armory 1911 would you choose for Concealed Carry?

Which model and what is your rational for your choice?

I guess, based on my recent purchase, a RO Lightweight Compact 9mm would be mine...to be honest, though, I’d probably sooner get the RO Elite version, had it been available.

The Ronin Lightweight 9mm would do, or a LW Champion Operator 9mm.

If I went back to a 1911, it would be a Ronin 4.25. The aluminum frame cuts down on the weight. Besides, it is one great looking pistol.

I have an aluminum-framed full-sized 1911 (now discontinued) that I got in the 90's that I'd consider OK for carry since it's light-weight. My steel-framed 1911s are just a bit too heavy for CC.

It is a fantastic choice but too heavy in my opinion.

SA should bring back the Light-weight (aluminum-framed) full-sized PX9103 1911 they made back in the 90's.

It's the only one I would carry due to it's light (perfect) weight.

Very noticeably lighter than my PX9109LP & P1913L.

This might be useful information for some. From experience, it's just as easy to conceal carry a full-size 1911-A1 as an Officer's Model.

If weight wasn't an issue, I'd carry my TRP .45 Auto.

I'm going to get a Ronin Operator 4.25 as soon as you people quit causing these backorders! It may be the perfect full size framed, carry 1911. I bet Steve Horsman has one in .45. Sheesh, I can't even get one yet and I thought I was special!

I agree. The .40 S&W is an extremely powerful handgun cartridge.
