Should work, in a pinch. Advise you open the flash hole on the primer pocket and be sure to fill the case entirely. BP doesn’t handle air pockets well.

Black powder in a small bore DI gas gun. Gotta run hundreds of rounds without a problem. And cleaning? Shouldn’t need to do anything except clean once every six months. At that point, take the gun all the way down, remove the stock and forend, then place the remaining parts in the dumpster…
