Winchester Model 1904

The addiction continues to be fed. My latest addition is a Winchester Model 1904 single shot 22 short/long/extra long, manufactured sometime between 1924-27.
It is in good shape for 100y/o rifle and appears to be all original. I believe this rifle saw its fair share of corrosive 22short back in the day because the bore is pitted but still has rifling present. the stock is in surprisingly good shape. Most I see are either cracked or really beat up.
It shoots okay but will not win any contests. Target is a 1” paster shot from 15 yds off a rest. The circled group is subsonic .22lr while the shotgun pattern is .22 short. It appears to like the subsonic.
For $168 I am happy with my 100 y/o single shot. It’s fun to shoot and I’m doing my part to preserve a little piece of history.
