Winter Storm warning NOAA Weather radio

No snow in the forecast but we're expecting ice and freezing rain here in the Atlanta area starting tomorrow night. All electric home and unfortunately no generator ( the local Home Depot sold out of those earlier this week). Could be a rough few days if that freezing rain hits us hard. We are well stocked on the staples though, and I have a camp stove and an old fashioned coffee percolator just in case. Man's gotta have his priorities.

It will be another rain day here but tonight should get interesting.

what cracked me on national news was gov of NY, then some one in PA, then a NJ
all freaking out about the storm...hmmmm does it NOT get cold up there as part of normal winter?
my friend near rochester is out snow mobilling and enjoying a nice normal snow
mean while in north east texas.... stores are empty of water, TP and milk

and gas lines are 12 deep :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
at least the speed of the cold has been slowed for us, the gulf moisture ridge is pushing back, still 45 here
this is why, nearly every day, i post in the, "what are you doing now" thread, that i got errands to do.

either me or the wife, do "a little shopping" nearly everyday

she drinks milk, i cannot but when the little ones come over, at least there is milk for them..

then cookies, cake, brownie mixes, and so many other "little things".

people panic, when they here "big snow storm coming", cuz so many got caught empty handed in the blizzard of 1978 in the area.

the state of RI had a labor strike of all the highway dept...so NO snow plows....

the national guard used payloaders, bull dozers to dig us out.

no stores were open, and many were buried in thier cars on the roads, with no food, water, or toilet.

so everytime, just 1 stinking snow flakes is in the air, everyone goes ballistic, and goes on a mad shopping craze.

long lines everywhere is so very common.....
