Wish it wasn’t a drive for me

[Jsimon78]

I was looking at out door ranges today and came across something that I wish wasn’t so far away.

One day I’ll make the trip

it is a big place

my state has an outdoor range, nothing like the one you posted, and here it is free.

however for me, it is at the best, a 50 minute drive

given that i usually shoot up 2 boxes of ammo..???

not worth getting up outta bed.

Southern Illinois. It’s way different than up here.

It’s the difference between up state Illinois and southern Illinois. I always tell people that the farther away from Chicago you go the more it’s a different world. This place is closer to St. Louis than even Springfield Illinois.

Being close to St. Louis isn't exactly a ringing endorsement

It’s better than Chicago. I seen some of the people from Chicago at the range near me. Let me tell you.

From what I understand East St. Louis resembles a shooting range after dark.

sorta like "Joisey".......(but i still would not want to live there)

it stinks (literally) up in the northern part

but the beauty of the southern part are incredible.

Take the ride, make it a day, have lunch, enjoy the landscape, see the beautiful area, don't forget to bring lots of ammunition and shoot different things for fun.
