FYI ... I just saw today the XD MOD.3 is discontinued and the new XD MOD.4 is in. Only difference i can see is the slide sedation are different. Hmmm!

Yeah it's puzzling. Only difference from what I'm seeing are the slide serrations.

if it were a European advertisement I’d think destined for European use and anything other than 9mm would be unlikely.

But hope springs eternal.

I guess they changed the front sight and how its mounted. Other than the higher price I don't see much change.

As far as I can tell the front sight is the same fiber optic that's on my mod.3. Slide serrations is all I can see different.

Hi,

I really like the XD line and own several. I have two XD9 pistols, the original 4" service and a Mod.3. If this Mod.4 XD9 would be offered with a 5" barrel, I would add it to my XD collection, in 9mm or .45ACP. We'll see. Mr. @Anchorite may be correct and this product is aimed mostly at a non-US market.

Europe is a different market. Personally I still like the original mod.’s and look for them on GB. Im patiently waiting on my XDm elite in 10MM to move from Mesa AZ. Otherwise I’m good for now on the XDm’s and moved to the CZ’s

Just appears to be slide serrations but I don't have one in hand to compare.
