Great information. Didn’t look to hard especially with the right tools.
It does make you wonder why the poster of the thread that wanted to completely disassemble his PDW that he or multiple gunsmiths couldn’t get it off.

Don’t know, but I have disassembled about a dozen of them now for coating and none were that bad. In his post the gunsmith told him the upper was flexing so I don’t think they were using a barrel rod. The threads are 1/2 x 28 so you would strip the threads if you used an impact to put it on in the first place. None of the Saints that I have ever taken apart have ever used a thread locker for any muzzle device.

I like the barrel rod to hold the upper, if I was to go to that extent of a take down I’d invest in one.
