XDS Mod 2 .45 Mag Release Issue

My new out of box pistol has some voodoo going on with the mag release. It was very very stiff so I started to cycle the mag figuring it would loosen up, which it did. Now however with a mag in the gun the button rattles back and forth. W/o the mag it feels pretty normal. Do these guns have issues with the mag release ?

They're stiff. 6 years or so and thousands of rounds and my XD Mod 2 is still stiff.

Problem isnt stiffness anymore it rattles loosely side to side

That I can't help you with. Doesn't sound right. I would call SA customer service and send it back to them to be checked out. Their CS is excellent. Just don't waste your time emailing them, you'll die of old age before getting a response. Call them.

Yes, something just sounds hinky with it rattling…..do what Bob suggested, SA has great CS.
